Help us in spreading the word about our dear friend Luke’s recovery.
A senior at Sir Francis Drake High School, San Anselmo, Luke is a 4.0 student who was on the varsity soccer team as well as the track team. By all account, a model student, athlete, and friend.
Over spring break, Luke was working on a construction site when he suffered the devastating loss of his right hand. His brother tried to save his hand, but unfortunately was not able to prevent the injuries that had already occurred.
With the help of San Francisco CPMC’s best reconstructive and micro-surgeons, Luke will have mobility in his wrist which can better facilitate the use of a prosthetic hand once healing from surgery is complete.
Luke’s great attitude, strength, and determination have been an inspiration and source of pride for everyone he knows. Although the road to physical and emotional healing will be long and difficult, Luke is blessed with loving family and friends and amazing medical care.
